Ingodite is a rare mineral about which there has been little information. Ingodite found for the first time in China occurs in the Huanglong gold deposit Shanxi Province. Ingodite is associated with pyrite, sphalerite and hematite. Electron microprobe analysis has proved that one is tetradymite and the other is produced in Huanglong, both being well consistent with the standard ingodite in composition. Gold increases or declines with Bi and Te in ores and wall rocks, which suggests that Bi and Te play an important role in the migration and enrichment of Au.
