英文摘要：

Operating passenger data plays an important role in planning, operation and management for urban rail transit system. This paper firstly discussed the functions of operating passenger data in distributing ticket incomes, finding passenger rules, adjusting the capacity and assisting the early warning. Secondly, some defects in data collection, especially those about timeliness, accuracy and completeness, statistical standards and analyzing methods, and causes of these defects were studied. The defects arise from many fields such as AFC system, operation, analyzing methods and standards. Finally, some countermeasures are put forward, such as improving the collecting methods, optimizing the operation, establishing an intergraded data platform and so on. The study will contribute to enhancing the safety and efficiency in urban rail transit system.
