主要探讨了VMD软件作为一个高效的可视化工具在蛋白质三维结构教学中的应用。它帮助学生用一种更加直观、立体且富于互动的方式认识蛋白质分子不同的折叠方式及其二级结构特性。借助VMD软件还能对处于不停热运动中的分子瞬态结构进行统计分析,有助于学生深化对蛋白质倾向于形成的二级结构的认识。
This paper discussed the application of VMD software in the teaching of three di- mensional structure of protein. VMD can help students to understand folding patterns and the secondary structure feature of protein in an interactive, more direct and visual way. VMD also can summarize the structure data from instantaneous structures of molecules in thermal dynamic situation, and the statistic results are helpful for a better understanding about the tendency of forming specific secondary structure of protein.
