突触结合蛋白(synaptotagmin,Syt)是一类在细胞分泌过程中感受钙离子信号的蛋白质。Syt Ⅰ存在于神经和内分泌细胞的囊泡膜上,被认为是细胞分泌过程中的主要Ca^2+感受器,在Ca^2+诱导的分泌过程中起关键作用。在哺乳动物细胞中已发现15种亚型,这些Syt蛋白在细胞胞吐和胞吞活动中具有重要的生理功能。Syt的分布、结构以及在细胞蛋白质与膜转运过程中的调节作用及机制的研究具有重要的生理意义。
The aim of this review is to give a broad picture of what is actually known about the synaptotagmin family. Synaptotagmin Ⅰ is a synaptic vesicle and secretory granule protein abundantly found in neurons and endocrine cells and it plays a key role in Ca2^+ -induced exocytosis. Fifteen synaptotagmin genes have been described in mammalian ceils. Here, we focus on recent studies concerining structure-function that help provide insights into the mechanism of synaptotagmin in triggering exocytosis.
