The different types of chiroptical switches are introduced, such as chiral helicene, azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, binaphthyl compounds, fulgide and bilirubin-Ⅲα. Furthermore, their photoisomerization property and applications to the information storage are reviewed and their future foreground is also presented.
