Compared with vitiligo in adults,the major traits of vitiligo in children comprise the family vitiligo history,trauma history,halo nevi association,autoimmune diseases and so on. Childhood vitiligo may be distinct type of vitiligo. With more in - depth understandings on vitiligo,the efficacy of vitiligo in children was improved. The article sunmmrizes nearly five years litera- ture from two major aspects including external therapy and comprehensive threrapy to introduce new progress of Chinese medincine and modern medicine treatments for vitiligo in children.
