Zijin Mountain is chosen as the case study area and the collision among tomb culture, ecological culture, country. culture, and urban culture are analyzed in detail to find out the root causes of the environmental problems based on evolution of history, Guided by the basic conception of ecological culture, three management countermeasures are suggested to solve the conflicts. These are design and management by functional division, scenic sites building with local ecological culture background, scenic forest management with respect to forest aesthetic features. By applying these measures, an approach to sustainable environmental protection of areas with high historic and cultural values is proposed.
