采用7英寸(17.8cm)小屏实验平台研究荫罩式PDP重置期的放电及其对寻址放电的影响,分析了重置期的斜率和电压变化对寻址的形成性延迟和统计性延迟的影响.研究结果表明,重置期的放电为多个弱放电脉冲组成,弱放电脉冲的个数和强度与重置期的电压和斜率相关.负向斜坡阶段的电压和斜率会直接影响寻址期的放电,而正向斜坡阶段的电压和斜率对寻址放电的影响较小,主要通过壁电压影响负向阶段的放电情况而间接影响寻址期放电.重置期波形的参数设置和实验屏的着火电压以及电压动态范围密切相关,这也就意味着和实验屏的工艺参数、气体成分等密切相关,对于不同参数的屏,需根据具体情况调试重置期波形.
A 7-inch(17.8 cm) experimental system has been used to analyze the effects of the ramp reset pulses on the address discharge in shadow mask plasma display panel(PDP).Some basic parameters such as the slope of the ramp pulse and the terminal voltage of the ramp reset period were varied to investigate their effects on the formative delay and the statistical delay time in address period.The experimental results illustrate that multiple weak discharges occur between the scan electrode and the address electrode in ramp reset period.The number and the intensity of weak discharge pulses are related to the ramp voltage and ramp slope.The ramp-down discharge affects the address discharge directly,while the ramp-up discharge has small effect on the address discharge,which is mainly through the wall discharge deposited on the dielectric layers in the ramp period.The optimized ramp-reset waveforms for the type of 7inch panel are acquired by the experiment.The waveform parameters in the ramp reset period are related to the firing voltage and voltage margin of the experimental panel,that is to say,the waveform parameters should be adjusted to acquire the optimum waveform according to the technical and gas conditions in the experimental panel.
