In order to search for the possibility of the new physics existence, and in the framework of the top- color - assisted technicolor model, a single neutral top - pion production process γγ→Ⅱt^0 via photon collision at the ILC is studied. The cross section of the process is calculated. The result shows that, among the various production processes at the ILC, the cross section of γγ→Ⅱt^0 is the largest which may reach the level of 10^1 - 10^2 fb. Finally, the potential to observe the neutral top- pion via its various decay modes at the ILC is discussed. Due to the existence of coupling Ⅱt^0 tc^-, which is changed by the tree - lever flavor, γγ→Ⅱt^0→tc^- can provide enough number of typical signals to identify the neutral top - pion with the clean SM background. Therefore, the process γγ→Ⅱt^0 plays an important theoretical role in searching for the neutral top - pion and testing the TC2 model.
