First, the Forwarding and Control Element Separation （ForCES） framework is analyzed. Second, the network management issue of ForCES routers is discussed and the problems of its normal network management implementation are analyzed. In the end, a way is put forward to manage ForCES routers based on Simple Network Management Protocol （SNMP） and its Agent eXtensibility （AgentX）protocol .
