CHEN Xiang-dong (陈向东) was born in Zibo, Shandong Province, in 1953. He is currently a professor at the School of Economics & Management, Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics. He has published numbers of academic papers in international journals and international conferences as well as Chinese scientific journals, and he was invited as referees from numbers of innovation related international journals. He has rich research experience of international collaborations on innovation management, including being a visiting scholar at Manchester Business School during 1992 and 1993, visiting professor at Nantes Graduate School of Business in France during 1999 and 2000, a visiting professor at University of Applied Science Brandenburg during 2001 and University of Potsdam in 2006 in Germany, a research fellow at City University of Hong Kong in both 2003 and 2004, and a visiting professor at NISTEP in Japan in early 2006. His major research and teaching areas are on multinational companies in China and international technology transfers, innovation management, and international finance. In recent years he has been concentrating on innovation and patented technology in numbers of typical technical fields, including electronics, telecommunication, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. LIU Xiao-qing (刘小青) was born in Hubei Province, in 1983. He is now a Ph. D Student at the School of Economics & Management, Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics. He majors in management science and engineering and his research area are in international technology transfers and innovation management.
