In view of ISO19101 Geographic Reference Model and Standardization Principles and based on the standardization project of Suzhou Industrial Park, this paper collected and analyzed the current standards on mapping and surveying; referred to the relative foreign advanced standards and formulated the standardization system of spatial geographic information for small and medium-sized cities, which conformed to the current situation in China. And then, a study of its practical application in data standards description has been conducted, which is aimed at providing convenience for the enactment of regional geographic spatial data standards in the small and medium-sized cities in China.
