This paper reviews the research situation of the classical formula Xiaoyaosan in terms of theories, clinics and prescriptions, and introduces the relevant achievements and problems. Several strategic proposals are made for the systematic study of Xiaoyaosan, which may serve as a reference for the further research of Xiaoyaosan.
