On the basis of agriculture, aiming at urban tourists, for the purpose of leisure, by means of serving, leisure agriculture makes full use of the existing agricultural conditions and facilities, makes full use of the mode of agricultural production and operation, and makes full use of the natural environment and human resources of the countryside. Leisure agriculture is a new type of agriculture which combines agriculture and tourism. On the basis of understanding the essences and characteristics of leisure agriculture, according to the status quo and environmental conditions of development of leisure agriculture in Ningxia, this article discussed the theoretical basis, strategic choices and specific measures of the development of leisure agriculture in Ningxia, and provided some thoughts and countermeasures for the development of leisure agriculture at western ethnic regions.
