提出一个基于平滑粒子动力学(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics,SPH)模型的中国水墨画风格烟气动画制作系统。系统利用流体物理方程支配SPH运动规律,以少量粒子描述烟气运动的轨迹信息;通过在可编程GPU上采取投影纹理映射技术,进行快速、准确的绘制。系统包含5个模块:参数设定模块、烟团纹理库构建模块、运动骨架提取模块、浓度纹理生成模块和基于GPU的实时绘制模块。实验证明,系统能以简单、直观的方式体现水墨风格烟气动画的抽象性特征。
A Chinese-Ink-Painting-Style smoke animation production system based on Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) was proposed. The movement of SPH was regulated by fluid dynamical equations and the smoke path was described by a few particles. Quick and accurate rendering effects could be achieved by projective texturing based on programmable graphics hardware. Five modules were contained in the system, including parameter setting, smoke texture library establishment, smoke-path capture, density texture generation and GPU based rendering. Experimental results indicate that the system produces Chinese-Ink-Painting-Style smoke in a simple and intuitive way successfully.
