用热熔拉制法,直接将商用塑料光纤(POF)制成了微/纳米光纤(MNF)和光纤耦合器。对宏弯曲结构的塑料MNF的折射率传感特性进行了研究和分析。结果显示,宏弯曲的塑料MNF对于较低折射率液体的折射率变化更为敏感;宏弯曲曲率半径较大的塑料MNF具有更高的折射率传感灵敏度,并且在一定的宏弯曲曲率状态下,越细的塑料MNF其折射率传感的灵敏度越高。在光纤直径为25μm、折射率范围为1.332~1.391和输入光源波长为635nm的条件下,折射率测量的最高分辨率为7.96×10^-5。由这种宏弯曲结构塑料MNF构成的折射率计可以在生物和化学等传感领域中得到应用。
The micro-/nano-fiber (MNF) and plastic optical fiber (POF) coupler were fabricated directly from the commercial POE by heating and pulling method. The glucose solution is used as the refractive index (RI) medium. The RI sensing properties of the macro-bending MNF are investigated and analyzed by measuring the optical output intensity of the MNF. The experimental results show Lhat the macrobending MNF is sensitive to the low RI range of a liquid;the larger macro-bending radius of the MNF corresponds to a higher sensitivity;and for a fixed macro-bending radius, the MNF with a smaller fiber diameter has a higher sensitivity. With a fiber diameter of 25μm,the MNF has the highest RI resolution of 7.96 × 10 5 for the RI range from l. 332 to 1. 391 at the wavelength of 635 nm. The MNF can be applied to the biological and chemical sensing fields with simple fabrication and high sensitivity.
