简要介绍该图像数据光纤传输系统的总体设计思想。详细介绍该系统中FPGA周边电路、编码/解码电路、光发送/接收电路的设计以及发送/接收两端FPGA内部逻辑电路的设计,包括某些重要器件的介绍、VHDL程序的设计思想和实现方法,并给出一些关键模块的仿真和实测波形。最后进行模拟图像数据发送与接收实验,并进行了误码率估算。
Some data transmission modes, such as camera-link, GIGE, LAN, optical-fiber, and other wide-bandwidth systems are widely used in astronomy because of a large quantity of information in astronomical images. Based on a project of astronomical CCD camera, we develop a special transmission system using optical fibers. By using this optical-fiber transmission system, astronomical images can be transmitted reliably and effectively. This paper first presents a general design of the system, then describes the designs of the FPGA peripheral circuit, the coding circuit, the decoding circuit, the optical transmission/receiving circuits, and the FPGA internal logic circuits at the transmitting and receiving terminals. The paper further describes some key devices and their interconnecting circuits, and gives estimates about the bit error rate of the system. The design method of VHDL is also included. Simulations and measured waveforms of some key devices are finally presented.
