报道了3个系列含氧亚甲基酯的化合物:H2n+1CnOC6H4C6H4OCH2C6H4CO2-CmH1m+1(系列A),H2m+1Cm-O2 CC6H4CH2-OC6H4C6H4O-CH2C6H4CO2-CmH2m+1(系列B),H2m+1Cm-O2CC6H4CH2-OC6H4O-CH2C6-H4CO2-CmH2m+1(系列C),n=8,12,16;m=6,12,14,16.通过差示扫描量热法(DSC)和偏光显微镜(POM)对其介晶性研究发现,除化合物C-14和C-16外,这些化合物都具有介晶性.m相同时,系列B化合物比相对应的系列A化合物有更高的清亮点;系列B化合物比系列C有更高清亮点和更宽的介晶相温度范围.
Three series of liquid crystals with CH2O and COO linkages of H2n + 1 Co OC6 H4 C6 H4-OCH2 C6 H4 CO2 -Cm H2m + 1 ( series A) , H2m+1 Cm-O2CC6H4CH2-OC6H4C6H4O-CH:C6H4CO2-CmH2m+1 (series B) and H2m+1 Cm-O2CC6H4CH2-OC6H4O-CH2C6H4CO2- CmH2m+1 f (series C) are prepared, n = 8,12,and 16, m = 6,12,14, and 16. They are synthesized and their mesomorphous behaviors are studied through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polaritized optical microscopy (POM). The result shows that molecules lead mesomorphous properties except for compounds C-14 and C-16, It is detected that monosubstituted compounds have lower mesomorphous stability than their disubtituted counterparts. The molecules with biphenyl cores have higher clearing point and wider mesophases than their counterparts with phenyl cores.
