This paper presents a adaptive query optimization system（AQOS） based on materialized view,according to a user query pattern,query characteristics,as well as the some constraints choosing the set of materialized views adaptively;and using set of materialized views to query rewrite so to improve query performance.The system takes the selection of views and rewriting together,considering the interaction between the two,but also taking into account the independence.The framework has a strong flexibility and scalability.
