In this paper, a theoretical mechanism and experiments for the effects of low frequency oscillating magnetic field on cells were investigated and analysed. Magnetic field varying with time and its inducing electric field produce the force on the moving ions and accelerate the ions. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, a series of experiments were designed to test the supposed theory. Two human cancer cell lines (HL - 60 and SK- Hep- 1) were used in our experiment. The cancer cells were exposed to a continuous sinusoidal 50Hz, 20mT magnetic field for 4 days. Tne results demonstrate the significant changes of Na^+ and K^+ ion eoncentratious in cell supematant compared with the control group. These results of experiments appear to be consistent with the theoretical analysis.
