This paper, taking the Yangtze River Delta as an example, analyzes the static pattern and the dynamic process of urban agglomeration＇ s population distribution, and reveals the essential features and the rule of spatial and time vicissitude since China＇ s reform and opening - up. Explaining the exterior factors and interior mechanism of population distribution, the paper indicates the main powers in urban agglomeration＇ s population vicissitude and proposes optimal strategies and suggestions for the agglomeration＇ s population distribution in the Yangtze River Delta.
