In order to extract the road network from remote sensing images,the author proposed the idea of intelligent road network extraction based on least squares matching algorithm.Through the image preprocessing,seeds selection,least squares matching,road segments screening and connecting,road network can be got.The experimental results show that：this method can extract the road network with high efficiency and accuracy as well as high robustness.
