The American Standard-Based Reforms （SBR） in the 1980s have made huge influence on the education of the USA. Overall, with academic expectations for students as the core element, the SBR movement includes six main features. Although the SBR has a dispute with ＂standard＂ setting, test using and so on, it makes great impact in many domains such as the educational equity, the education standard and assessment developing. Meanwhile, SBR provide us with valuable experience for china＇s education development and reform.
