The status of per capita car ownership and carbon dioxide emission of five provinces in the Northern China were studied. The variation coefficient analysis method was used to investigate the differences values between them. Furthermore, a linear regression model was adopted to analyze the trends of per capita car ownership and carbon dioxide emission in the next ten years. At last, some proposals were put forward in order to provide a reference for the harmonious development of the region and whole country.
