The ranking for interval type-2 fuzzy sets is one of the most critical issues in tdecision-making domain. The existing methods, however, cannot distinguish the ranking order ofinterval type-2 fuzzy sets in some cases. To solve this problem, a new ranking method of intervaltype-2 fuzzy sets is proposed based on incentre point of fuzzy se ts; and then＇a ranking order is defined according to the ranking value. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed method can effectively distinguish the ranking order of interval type-2 fuzzy sets.
