Acetate teristics and have been the two derivatives has and propionate of menthol have been synthesized. They all have good fragrant characidentified by IR, MS,＇ H NMR and^13C NMR. The mosquito repellency of menthol and been studied by the methods of national standard. The result suggested that methol has some activity to repel Aedes albopictus, while the two derivatives have little activity.
