The disadvantages of the substation safety monitoring system are analyzed. While the electrical equipment safety and operation safety are taken into consideration, an integrated safety monitoring system is proposed. The electrical equipment temperature monitoring subsystem based on infrared temperature sensors and the security protection subsystem based on laser barrier technology are designed. In order to realize the design of the unified management, a framework of monitoring information management subsystem is also proposed.
