This paper analyzed the classification and operating principle of warm mix asphalt mixture technology,warm mix agent mechanism of viscosity reduction,warm mix asphalt mixture compaction characteristics,design,pavement performance and the effect of Energy conservation and emission reduction. The analysis results show that： the research of warm mix asphalt mixture technical classification,warm mix viscosity reduction mechanism and compaction characteristics are the basis of warm mix asphalt mixture design,energy conservation and emission reduction effect is a prerequisite for pavement performance analysis.
