In 1990,P.Diamond gave firstly a characterization of compact sets in the space of fuzzy star-shaped numbers with respect to the origin with Lp metric for 1 ≤p〈∞.Later on,Congxin Wu and Zhitao Zhao pointed out that the characterization of Diamond was incorrect by a counterexample,and obtained a correct characterization for compact sets in spaces of fuzzy star-shaped numbers with respect to the origin.In this paper,we further devolpe the characterization and obtain the characterization of compact sets in spaces of fuzzy star-shaped numbers with Lp metric for 1 ≤p〈∞.
