The effect of the different ignition temperatures, fuel addition amount and coordinating reagenr on the preparation of CuAl2O4 by combustion method. The addition of citric acid in precursors is beneficial for the preparation of CuAl2O4 nanoparticles with higher crystallinity and relative uniform particle diameter. The photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) experiment show that the best apparent reaction rate for the photodegradating MO is 0.003 when the pH value is 7.00 in the photocatalytic suspension system.
