In this paper,an algorithm by using Legendre wavelets to obtain numerical approximate value for definite integrals as well as double integrals is developed.Definite integral problems are transformed into matrix operations by combining Legendre wavelets with operator matrix,and the integrand is properly discretization.Since the matrix operations can be achieved by MATLAB,thereby calculation is greatly simplified.Some examples are provided to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.
