Magnetic field-sensitive hydrogel or ferrogel is a kind of environmentally sensitive hydrogel.A ferrogel consists of a three-dimensional polymeric network and magnetic nanoparticles.This paper reviews the progress in the syntheses of ferrogels and the applications of ferrogel in controlled release of drugs,artificial muscle,enzyme immbolization and protein separation.
