The purified Ran2 protein from E. coli was used to raise antibodies in rabbits. The result of ELISA showed that the titer of Ran2 antibody was 1 ： 51 200. Western blot assay revealed that the Ran2 antibody reacted with a 26 ku polypeptide band from the recombinant Ran2 purified from E. coli and the soluble protein of Arabidopsis seedlings. The result of Ran2 antibody labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate （FITC） staining 3-day old onion root tip cells displayed that green band was mainly localized to the nuclear envelope in interphase.
