The new nanomaterials—quantum dots have unique and excellent fluorescent properties.In recent years,synthesis of quantum dots and its applications in physics,chemistry and pharmacy have drawn much attention of researchers.The synthesis methods of quantum dots are briefly introduced in this paper.The progress of the applications of quantum dots in the fields of bio-imaging,bioanalysis and drug carriers are reviewed.
