By making use of the generalized Tu scheme,a（2＋1）-dimensional isospectral problem is considered,and then a new（2＋1）-dimensional integrable hierarchy is constructed.It is shown that the generalized BPT hierarchy can be obtained as a reduction.Further,based on an extending isospectral problem,an integrable couplings of the（2＋1）-dimensional integrable hierarchy of the generalized BPT hierarchy is produced.The method can be applied to obtain other（2＋1）-dimensional integrable hierarchy.
