Identifying syntactic and semantic relationships of compound sentences has great significance to Chinese information engineering and natural language processing,but non-clauses which often exist in compound sentences bring a bad effect on identifying accuracy of syntactic and semantic relationships of compound sentences. This paper defines what to be non-clauses,discusses the standard of identifying clauses and describes the types and characteristics of non- clauses. And then this paper aims how to strength pretreatment on syntactic and semantic relationships of compound sentences,finally realizes how to serve Chinese information processing.
