The characters in Shi Tiesheng＇s novels are designated symbols for character,fate,existence and image,conveying the writer＇s puzzlement and reflections about existence.They are also an open ＂X＂ and holographic life,manifesting my impressions of the world and carrying information of life.The holographic characters bring about polyphonic theme,open text and free narration.On the other hand,the holographic characters are just one part of my impressions and one kind of information in the world,which reflects the writer＇s paradox.The symbolic writing of anti-central character caused indefinite character＇s identity as a result of lacking psychological details,exquisite actions and abundant plots.Is the character a designated symbol,open＂X＂ or combination of symbol and ＂X＂？ It is a question of limitation that every vanguard writer should think about.
