本文在计算Ellision-Glaeser集聚指数（EG指数）的基础上，基于山东半岛城市群28个制造业行业2003—2010年面板数据，运用动态面板广义矩估计（GMM）方法对城市群内产业集聚与经济增长的关系进行了实证研究。实证结果显示：产业集聚与经济增长之间并非简单的线性关系，而是呈现出倒U型曲线关系，适度集聚带来规模经济，过度集聚则会引起规模不经济。最后，针对这一结果给出了理论分析及结论启示。

英文摘要：

On the basis of calculating the Ellision-Glaeser agglomeration index （ EG index ） and the 28 manufacturing industry panel data ,2003 -2010, of Shandong peninsula city group, this article does an empirical study on the relationship between industrial agglomeration and economic growth with dynamic panel GMM Estimation （GMM） method. The result shows： industrial agglomeration and economic growth is not a simple linear relationship, but presents an inverted U relationship. Moderate agglomeration brings scale economy, while excessive agglomeration will cause diseconomies of scale. Finally, according to the results, this paper put forward the theoretical analysis and conclusion enlightenment.
