Cyclophilin A （CyPA） is a cytoplasmic protein which belongs to cyclophilins. Cyclophilins are found in all cells of all organisms studied and highly conserved, which possess peptidel prolyl cistrans omersae activity and is involved in a variety of signal transduction pathway. Cyclophilin A involves many biological functions including vascular disease and immune modulation, tumorigenesis. The main purpose of this chapter is to review the progress of Cycplophilin A in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
