Hydrophilic interaction capillary electrochromatography （HI-CEC） is one of the hot spots in micro-separation technique, and the research of HI-CEC stationary phase has attracted much attention. In this paper, the research progress of open-tubular column, the particlepacked column and the monolithic column for HI-CEC are reviewed, especially for the recent progress of the monolithic CEC.
