This paper investigated the interaction between grains an stacle. Smooth particle hydrodynamic (SPH) was used to simulate constitutive mode/was Newton's fluid model. Results showed that, d between rapid rockfall debris flow and an ob- the flow law observed in experiments. The used the rockfall debris flow movement and aecumu- lation was affected by the inclination of the chute and baffle plate ; the velocity diagram around baffle plate of chute were not uniform but varied over the depth. The numerical results were compared with the chute flow experiments of the dry granular material, and some important model parameters were obtained, which can be used to optimize the design of defence structures in mountain regions.
