This paper conducts a primary discussion to the formation mechanism and spatial structure of aerotropolis. The research indicates that industry clusters near airport centralize together because of the location predominance and collective function of airports in developed area with regional hub airport. These industries are under both the effects of diffusion from sub - urbanization and revolution of transportation and the effect of symbiosis from industries, so they form an economic region with high - centralized industries and with the ability of interaction and self - organization. Because industry clusters near airports have both the localization and urbanization effects, near airport regions evolves into a new urban space, that is, aerotropolis.
