Notwithstanding its significance, there are rare articles analyzing the dynamic mechanisms of Chinese strategic emerging industries. Based on systematic theory studies, this article firstly propose a four--wheel.drive model to describe the development of Chinese strategic emerging industries, which consists of four dimensions as in- novation- driven, policy-- pushed, market-- pulled and enterprise-- competition. With a further step, we take Chi- nese new energy automotive industry for example to analyze the growth dynamic mechanism and hope to provide some theoretical references and suggestions about the growth of Chinese strategic emerging industries.
