The antimicrobial peptides of poultry are mainly beta defensins, and avian beta defensins have the ability to protect tissues from unforeseen pathogenic microbial infections.The avian ovary and fallopian tube is a unique organ endocrine regulation,avian beta defensins in the ovary and oviduct affected ovarian gonadotropin and gonadotropin secretion function,so the avian pathogenic microorganisms in the reproductive tract in killing hens,protect the sperm has a certain particularity.The avian beta defensins in hen reproductive tract and the role of beta defensins in hen reproductive organs in the innate immune system were reviewed,and expression mechanism of beta defensins influencing material were discussed in this paper.
