As a peculiar phenomenon of eukaryotic cells,autophagy is a double-edged sword regarding to cell survival and death.It can not only protect cells but lead to death.For a variety of diseases,autophagy plays an important impact on the process and treatment of many diseases.Recent advances in the understanding of autophagy contributing to the treatment of liver ischemia-reperfusion injury have provided insight into opening a new way of thinking for the intervention measures.
