战略实践观指出,日常交往的组织活动形成战略实践,战略实践活动取决于人际关系的内涵。在日常交往中,人际关系的主导性内涵从资源性连接转向情感性连接,中国文化背景下,关系化组织可能利于探究战略实践观的行为原理。本文以“中国知网”的资料数据为证据,研究发现,注重情感性连接的关系交往包括人情“欠”与“报”、“留面子”与“给面子”;强调资源性连接的社会交换包括人情“舍”与“得”、“要面子”与“争面子”。研究还发现,以人情关系为主导的组织日常活动产生成长优势和组织恢复力;以人脉关系为主导的日常组织实践尽管存在效率优势,一旦遇到困境却十分脆弱。研究表明,重视人情交往的关系化组织既能激发组织内生活力,又能维持组织生存能力,进而形成组织持续成长的战略实践观。
For the past several years, organizational strategizing behavior has featured prominently in the strategy research, and an increasing number of studies have examined this behavior by exploring interpersonal micro-communication processes that take place during organizational everyday activities. New insights emerged from such studies have helped to refine existing theories of organizational strategizing. Using the strategy-as-practice view, this study points out that interpersonal communication in daily organizational actions may shape an organizational strategizing behavior, and that guanxi practice within organizations has significant implication for organizational strategizing. Specifically, the guanxi practice, as embraced in Chinese cultural values,emphasizes on interpersonal affection, communication, and mutual- aid behaviors. These personal etiquettes and customs, elaborate the ideology of "Zhonghe," especially the commonality and continuity of guanxi affection. Similarly, guanxi practice transforms the nature of interpersonal connection from recourse to affective and contributes to revealing the principles of organizational strategizing behavior. The study examines organizational strategizing behavior using data from the literature of "China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI)." An analysis of the CNKI data found that guanxi communication that emphasizes on affective connection includes "Qian" and "Bao" of Renqing, "Mianzi giving" and "Mianzi saving." Besides, social exchanges that emphasize on recourse connection include "She" and "De" of Renqing, "Fighting for Mianzi" and "asking for Mianzi." Furthermore, the study also found that social interactions that are based on Renqing guanxi contribute to growth advantage and resilience of organizations.
