The principle of quality navigation for product manufacturing life was proposed to solve the problems such as high rework rate and poor quality management in Small-and Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprises（SMMEs）,a navigation system was built based on the proposed quality navigation principle,lean manufacturing and process management.The system is consisted of three modules： quality management operation,quality data collection and feedback,real-time quality monitor and control with which the quality state of products in their manufacturing life can be analyzed and visualized real-time,so that the quality problems can be found and deleted in time.A case study in a small-sized automobile motor manufacturer shows that the preventive quality management was realized with the quality navigation system,so that the product quality is improved and the competitiveness of the enterprise is enhanced.
