Neural network technology is a new type of intelligent information processing technology which simulates the principle of Biological neural systems.It has been successfully used to medical field such as the prediction of disease,the combination of prescription and so on.In recent years,the neural network technology has played an increasing greater role in medical image processing.This article mainly discussed the application and research progress of artificial neural network in medical image segmentation,medical image registration and medical image-based computer aided diagnosis,and reviewed representative techniques and algorithms.
