The organ of spleen in Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） is much more similar to the combinations of the spleen and the pancreas in modern medicine in the aspect of anatomy which including the spleens＇ shape,position,color, luster and so on;and in the aspect of physiologic function,the functions of govering blood by spleen in TCM is similar to the functions of the spleen in nerve-endocrine-immune system（NED in modern medicine;and the functions of transportation and transformation of spleen in TCM are also closely related to the functio.ns of pancreas in modern medicine; in the aspect of medication regularity,most medicines used in TCM wh.ich belongs to the spleen meridian of foot-Taiyin has certain effection on adjusting the functions of the pancreas; and from the treatment of diabetes between TCM and western medicine,most medicines belongs to the spleen meridian of foot-Taiyin Can adjust the pancreas＇ function and reproducation. In additional,modern medical research consider that the spleen can supply the primi, tive cell and promote the reproduction of the pancreas＇ cell. In a word,the spleen in TCM consists of the spleen and pancreas＇ funtion in modern medicine to some extent.
