The conception and roles of strategic manufacturing vision were discussed. A method for participating in the formulation of the strategic manufacturing vision and its five steps, including starting, analyzing of enterprise environment, forming and evaluating of the vision, and carrying out this vision, were proposed. A case study of a manufacturing enterprise was also given.
